Every fall, Canisius invites families of current students back to campus for a fun filled weekend of programs and events. Make plans to attend this year's celebration! This is a great opportunity to return to campus and spend time with family and friends.

Family Community Service Project
Live out the Jesuit tradition and join the Canisius College Chapter of Habitat for Humanity for some community service. Our Canisius chapter along with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo will be renovating a house in a nearby Buffalo neighborhood. Please wear old clothes and closed toe shoes. No experience is required, we will find a job for you to do. You must be 16 years old to participate.

1:30pm to 3:30pm Walking Tour of Forest Lawn Cemetery
In its 159 years, Forest Lawn Cemetery has become an enduring chronicle of local history and a cultural landmark to local accomplishment. Considering the impact of these accomplishments on America and the world, the cemetery is a national asset and fully deserves its designation in the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places. On this tour you will walk through Forest Lawn's historic grounds to hear stories about the some of the 155,000 people buried there.   Please dress for the weather, this tour is rain or shine.

Please meet in the Student Center Lobby at 1:30pm.  Transportation to the cemetery will be provided.
5:30pm to 6:30pm Check-In
If you checked in during the morning session you do not have to check in again.

Registration & Payment Information
  • The cost to attend Saturday's Featured Events (Brunch, Mass, Sit Down Dinner and Casino Night) is $30 per person.
  • Full time Canisius College undergraduate students do not have to pay to attend Saturday's featured events. 
  • The cost of the Walking Tour of Forest Lawn Cemetery is an additional $10 per person.
  • There is no charge to participate in the Family Community Service Project.  Please contact Campus Ministry at 716-888-2875 to sign up.
  • For all other events, please pay at the door.  Thank you.
