Weather Cancellation Policy

The following procedure is for the event sponsor, students, faculty, staff, and departments, to cancel their event on campus due to severe weather conditions.

It is the responsibility of the event sponsor to follow these steps to cancel their event in these situations:

  1. Call Public Safety at 888-2330 to notify them of the yourevent cancellation
    (Public Safety can advise the event sponsor of the weather conditions on campus.)


  2. Contact and/or leave message at the department that is responsible    for your event:
    For events coordinated with Event Management call 888-2180.
    For events coordinated wiith Koessler Athletic Center call 888-3146.
    For events cordinated with Campus Ministry call 888-2420.
    * If it is after  hours, please leave a message at the above mentioned numbers as the appropriate staff will be checking messages during this period.


  3. The event sponsor should also change their office/departmental voice mail message to state that their event has been cancelled and any other pertinent information that they want to relay to their guests.
